I took these set of pics quite a while back and kinda forgotten about it until I found it in my folders. This is a Proton Waja undergoing transformation to become uhm.... a R34 Skyline look-a-like.

Of course by now it's already done. Hope to bump into it on the road someday. :)

The transformation is pretty elaborate. It spots a BNR34-like front bumper, headlights made to mimic the R34 items, copy version of the BNR34 rear spoiler and R34 sedan style rear lights. I wonder if the intercooler is a real working version......

Inheritance - Nissan GT-R Short Film

This is a short film featuring the Nissan GT-R. The plot is this:-

A family gathers to read their father's will, but his final wish forces them into a high speed race. Will a Nissan GT-R give the estranged daughter Emily the edge she needs to earn her inheritance?

This is well worth the view, I think it's an excellent film with superb cinematography especially the driving/race portion on country roads.

Nissan GTR Evolution film.

Check out this Nissan GTR Evolution film. The film was used at the Geneva Motor Show as a central piece of the GTR stand celebrating the GTR legacy. Awesome stuffs!!

Repainting update ...

Sorry folks. Didn't really have time to post updates after the repainting works. Thus took like 15 minutes to snap some pics over the weekend to post it here. Actually the car isn't ready yet. I've still got to send her back to be thoroughly waxed. That will take another full day of work. Got to find time this week to get that sorted out.

So here it is, just some simple pics of how the ER34 looked like after fitment of the BNR34 rear spoiler (woohoo!!), re-adjustment + painting of my front bumper, retrimming of the bumper to clear the intercooler hoses, and the repaint of the insides of the hood.

I think I've more or less got the exterior of the ER34 done to my expectation. I've pampered her more than any regular joe will. In due time, I'll probably retire her to be a weekend car ... well unless someone comes knocking at my door with an offer I can't refuse. Hehehe

Anyway, it's time for me to focus more on the heart of the car. Got some parts I could really use for the ER34 lying in my store room. But of course that's not enough, I've still have to scour for some more key items before I can really delve into the heart of the ER34. :)

For Sale: Hayashi Racing Interspeed 18X9.5JJ+15

Pic 1: Hayashi Racing Interspeed

Center locking wheels, i.e.wheels with a single lug nut is the ultimate in race car look/feel. Many have dreamed of having a single lug nut instead of normal 5 lugs on their rides. The trouble is that it only can be found on real race cars and it's an extreme rarity on road going cars.

Well, I have an extremely rare brand new Hayashi Racing Interspeed center locking wheel for sale. I'm pretty sure this is the ONLY unit in Malaysia. In fact it's also very rare in it's country of origin, Japan.

Kind of look like BBS LM wheels too eh?

These were made a while ago in limited numbers and are meant for the BNR32, BCNR33 and BNR34. They are all round 18"X9.5JJ offset +15.

These wheels come with an adapter to convert the factory 5 lug nuts to a single lug nut. The cool part is that it even comes with its own wrench to tighten the lug nut.

RB engine tattoos and a built R32 GTS4

Just when you thought you're one crazy mofo that's so deep into Skylines and everything about cars; you've got to think again.

Fellow Skyline owner Jon Beaucher from New Hampshire, United States gave new meaning to being a Skyline fanatic. With his permission, I'm publishing his tattoos of his automotive passion on my blog for you guys to admire.

With the 6 pistons and conrods off the RB26DETT as reference, he used his left arm as a canvas to showcase his love for the Skyline. RB oil pump gears are thrown in for good measure and the cream of the art is the topping with a T04Z turbine. These at the moment are still not done yet. Jon's gonna take a little break before completing this tattoo masterpiece.

Before pics of the tattoo, let's talk about Jon's ride for a bit.

Jon owns a 1990 Nissan Skyline GTS4 (HNR32) and have done extensive work on the motor. I think he did most of the work himself as he is Nissan Technician by trade. The HNR32 is now running a built RB26DETT. It has amongst others:-

JE pistons
Eagle conrods
ARP main, rod and head studs
Cometic metal gasket
N1 oil pump
N1 water pump
GReddy 264 degree camshafts
Power Enterprise timing belt
JUN crank collar
ACL race bearings (main and rod)
ATI super damper

The RB26DETT's GReddy twin turbos have since been ditched and will be replaced with a Comp Turbo 72mm ceramic triple ball bearing CT4372 turbine with an MX wheel and 0.84AR exhaust housing. The turbine will be mounted on a custom manifold flowing the exhaust gasses back via a 3.5inch custom exhaust pipe. A Tial 60mm wastegate vents off excess air to the atmosphere.

A GReddy front mount intercooler with custom piping takes care of the charged air. A TIAL 50mm blow off valve vents off excess air. Fueling is done via 2 Walbro 255lph in-tank pumps feeding a custom dual feed rail and feeds the engine via 760cc injectors with a Fuel Lab regulator.

Engine management is done via an Apexi Power FC with dual Z32 AFM. Power is translated to the transmission via a Nismo Gmax flywheel and RPS 6 puck clutch.

You might think the work is more of less done BUT it's still in the middle of a complete setup. Once done the motor is expected to pump out 800whp at 35psi with C16 racegas and 500-550 whp on pumpgas at 18psi. This is one hell of a built and Jon is one hell of a Nissan enthusiast. He also have a built Nissan 240SX sitting in his garage. But that's another story alltogether. :)

Crashed CBA-R35 in Taiwan

A Nissan GT-R (CBA-R35) was recently crashed in Taiwan. The vehicle overturned and I presume it's gonna be declared a total loss/wreck. The incident even made headlines in Taiwan's National TV, Chinese Television System (CTS).

It's amazing though that the headlights are still working after the crash. From the pictures below, the vehicle are running aftermarket midpipes so I would assume it's slightly modded.

Hmmm . . . . . . I wish I can get those yummy brakes back to Kuala Lumpur. :)
